QR code menus for restaurants and bars

A printed menu locks in your prices. The moment a supplier raises the cost of beef or a beer, you either eat the difference or reprint the whole lot. A QR menu moves that cost to zero: the code stays the same forever, and the page behind it changes whenever you want.

Setting it up

1. Go to Storefront → New publication and choose Digital Menu.
2. Add your categories — starters, mains, grill, drinks — and put items under each with prices.
3. Publish, then download the QR code from the publication page.
4. Print it on table tents, the counter, or the back of the door.

Taking orders on WhatsApp

You can let guests tick items and send the order straight to your WhatsApp number. The order arrives as a normal message with the items and total already written out, so your staff read it like any other chat. No delivery app sits in the middle and no commission comes off the top.

Practical tips

• One code works for every table — you do not need a different code per table.
• Laminate the table tents. Menus live a hard life.
• Mark items unavailable rather than deleting them, so they come back easily tomorrow.
• Put a short line under the code telling people what it is — Scan for our menu — as plenty of guests will not assume.
