Show your digital card on Google
Your card stays out of search results until you choose otherwise. Here is how to turn it on, and when you should.
A TQ digital card carries your phone number and email, so search engines are asked not to list it. The card still works for everyone you share it with — the link, the QR code and Save Contact are unaffected. Being findable on Google is your choice, not the default.
Turning it on
- Sign in and open Digital Cards.
- Click Edit on the card.
- Switch on Let people find this card on Google and click Save changes.
When it is worth doing
Turn it on if you want people searching your name or your business to reach you — useful for salespeople, consultants, agents and anyone whose contact details are already on a business card they hand out. Leave it off for a private card, or one you only share with specific people.
What to expect
- Search engines take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks to list a page, and nobody can promise a position.
- A clear photo, your job title and a one-line bio make the result recognisable.
- Switching it off asks search engines to drop the card again. Anything already saved or shared stays as it is.
